In botani avocado's are a fruit and belong to the berry types of fruit. We treat it as if it is a vegetable, I know and therefor, culinary it is often seen as a vegetable. But if you are hesitating if something is a fruit or a vegetable, ask yourself if is still ripening after it has been picked. If it still does, it is a fruit. Vegetables don't ripe after being picked. Also, all produce containing seeds are fruit. So yes, tomatoes and cucumbers are fruit too.
