LOL!
And yes, there are a LOT of recycled bags. What I see happening a lot now is that people forget their recycled bag at home and buy a new one. Sigh. It is still not a solution, even if their is some progress now.

Yes, we have plastics procedures I will call them in Canada. I dont know about a law...but we carry a LOT of recycled bags and the stores sell themtoo...but there still are he clerks who off you a bag to put your stuff in which is ALREADY in plastic. I say to them "No thanks, it is already in a bag", and carry it out in my hand. heheheh

Thank you Sue! I am sure everybody will enjoy your comments here on my blog.

Oh but I often go to the produce person with a question about organic produce! They seem insensitive... I have a wonderful organic farmer from whom I get all my fresh vegetables and fruits (as bulk). But I have to drive almost an hour, so I go once a week. Sometimes I run out of a something and I want organic of course, so the supermarket is the only way then to replace it. (this usually happens when I am juicing more than foreseen) So but these vegetables and fruits are all separately wrapped in tight plastic...

I have my own (Whole Foods Warket and Westerly) bag because I don't want all the plastic. Belgium does have a new law on plastic bags; they are not provided any longer in the supermarkets or stores and you have to bring your own (recycled) bag, which is great process! But the foods are still all wrapped! Still a lot of work to be done...

I have a couple of thoughts running through my head after reading this one...One thing I do, when walking into a market is to go the produce person and ask where their organic section is, even it I could easily find it myself. It says to the person..."Here is someone requesting organic food...it brings it out LOUD to their attention, and often we end up having a great little talk about the products.

Second, I see the stuff in the photo in PLASTIC bags. I am very happy that where I live there is a LOT of bulk dry food to be bought. Sure you put it in a bag after of the bin, but I have started to even bring my own little recycled bags...Hey, do these comments get read by anyone other than you? I hope lots of people get to read them.

I also have another comments about SHIPPING food, a big thing of mine, but that can wait..and maybe it DOES have something to do with availability. Sue
