If you don’t have time to listen in right now, here are my 5 tactics to get started with today…

  1. Start your day with a big glass of slightly warmed up water with the juice of a lemon or lime to hydrate your body after a nights rest from liquids, to flush out toxins from the day before, to wake up your metabolism, your bowels and to alkalize your body. Your energy will increase in a few days.
  2. If you feel like drinking even more water after this first glass: go ahead: you can drink up to a quart or a liter if you wish and this will optimize all of your body’s functions. After drinking water, have a shower and then take a good pro biotic that will enhance your colon health. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a pill: you can make or buy a few raw, organic fermented beverages and/or foods: recipes are available on my website ravishingraw.com in the recipe section. Fermented foods are easy to make and hardly take any preparation time from you, they are packed with natural pro biotics and alive enzymes, lifting up your energy, growing the healthy bacteria population in your colon for regular and easy bowel movements. These foods also add amazing flavors to your healthy dishes. Block some time on a Sunday and dive into the interesting world of fermented foods. It is so relaxing.
  3. Replace your morning coffee by a green smoothie. If you made fermented drinks, add those as the liquid basis to increase your intake of alive enzymes and probiotics. The fiber of the smoothie will help you to eliminate waste and toxins, they will help you cleaning the colon naturally and resolve constipation in only a few days. Remember: what’s constipated in your guts, is constipated in your brain.   4. Drink enough water to hydrate your colon and brain. But what is “enough?” Here’s a trick to calculate how much water you need minimum per day for your body: If you are living in The States: take your body weight in pounds, divide it by 2 and drink that amount in ounces. Or in other words: drink half of your body weight in ounces every day and you will create more clarity and focus. The rule is slightly different for Europe: take your body weight in kilo’s, multiply by 3, divide by 100 and this is the amount of liters you need minimum.
  5. Eat as many raw greens, vegetables and fruits as possible: your guts will restore its functions with all that natural fiber and nourish its connection to the brain with essential fatty acids. They are true brain food.

 If you want to love your work and life, love your colon and you will be able to trust your guts.
