How you start your day is how you continue it. Your start sets the tone. So here are a few thoughts for you:
How do you start a project? What do you typically do?
How well do you plan and prepare before you start anything?
How difficult is it for you, to start with something?
The start of something -no matter what it is- defines your success, how far you get ahead of others, your increased chance of winning. It shows your determination, your eager to get at your goal, your enthusiasm, your strength or… weakness, your lack of vision, your lack of lust for achieving.
The good news about any start is, that YOU can control it. Most entrepreneurs don’t give their daily start much thought: they pour down thoughtless coffee, swallow down a donut on their way to the office. There’s simply no time for a healthy breakfast. I get that. But… it IS the defining start of every day’s levels of focus, productivity, mood, mental pre-occupation, stress. So why would you wanna skip what can make you feel energized all day, focused, clear, on top of your game, happy?
“I don’t have time to eat in the morning.”
“I can’t eat when I just woke up.”
“I can’t without my coffee to wake up.”
Those are about the most common shout outs I hear from professionals. But here’s the deal: you can easily make a charging, delicious breakfast in the time you make a can of coffee! Seriously! I just whipped up a most delicious smoothie in 2 minutes, made of strawberries (they’re back in season), banana, lime juice, mint and some water. I’m sipping my second glass right now from my favourite wine glass at my desk. That feels SO luxurious!
