But as challenging as it may seem to have a nourishing breakfast that puts you in the drivers seat of your business, as easy it is to prepare for the culprits in your busy weeks.</p>
<p>Next to smoothies (<strong><a title="Boost Your Energy" href="http://ravishingraw.com/elevate-your-energy?category_id=733" target="_blank">pick up my free series of 5 videos, recipes and shopping lists </a></strong>if you&#8217;re not a member of my experts community yet), there are surely other options to have a delicious, satisfying breakfast in no time. And because you&#8217;re always looking for time saving shortcuts -especially when you overslept or you&#8217;re running out of time in the morning-, I have a real cool way to avoid these frustrating moments. Instead of crunching your teeth, here&#8217;s some delicious crunch to feel charged in no time.</p>
<p><span style="color: #e8c62c;"><strong>YOU&#8217;LL NEED</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>5 small jars or BPA free plastic containers</li>
<li>A large bowl</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="color: #e8c62c;">INGREDIENTS  (always try to find raw organic quality for maximum results)</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Berries of the season (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries)</li>
<li>1 C of almonds, coarsely chopped (food for focus)</li>
<li>2 C of gluten-free rolled oats (fibre: a clear colon is a clear mind!)</li>
<li>1/2 C of coconut flakes (to taste)</li>
<li>1/2 C of hemp seeds (complete protein and omega 3 for focus)</li>
<li>1/4 C of (golden/green) raisins (glucose for brain function)</li>
<li>1/4 C of sunflower seeds (protein)</li>
<li>1/4 C of pumpkin seeds (zinc)</li>
<li>Fresh mint (stimulating, wakes you up, good digestion)</li>
</ul>

<li>Throw all dry ingredients in a large bowl</li>
<li>Mix by hand (ready!)</li>
<li>Line up your jars/containers in front of you</li>
<li>Place a layer of cereal on the bottom of your jars or containers</li>
<li>Fill up with the berries of your choice</li>
<li>Finish with freshly minced mint on top</li>
<li>Close and store in the fridge</li>
</ul>
<p>Isn&#8217;t it just beautiful when you line up your petite colourful breakfast jars in your fridge and you open the door in the morning? Simply grab a jar, open up, pour some liquid of your choice on top:</p>
<ul>
<li>some (warm) water (you can find this anywhere!)</li>
<li>almond or hemp seed milk (take some with you in a small purse-sized bottle)</li>
<li>coconut water</li>
<li>water or coconut kefir</li>
<li>freshly squeezed orange juice</li>
<li>coulis of berries</li>
</ul>
<p>&#8230; and enjoy your instant breakfast. No time to eat at home? Throw it in your purse or bag and you&#8217;re ready to go.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #e8c62c;">TIPS</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experiment with other fruits</li>
<li>Use whatever seeds and nuts you like with your own ratios: it&#8217;s no rocket science</li>
<li>Make some buckwheaties (dry soaked buckwheat grains overnight) for more crunch</li>
<li>They work just as well as a energy snack during your day!</li>
<li>Make more of the mix up front and store in a large jar for your next week; it takes just as much time</li>

<p>How do you start a project? What do you typically do?</p>
<p>How well do you plan and prepare before you start anything?</p>
<p>How difficult is it for you, to start with something?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>The start of something -no matter what it is- defines your success</strong>, how far you get ahead of others, your increased chance of winning. It shows your determination, your eager to get at your goal, your enthusiasm, your strength or&#8230; weakness, your lack of vision, your lack of lust for achieving.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The good news about any start is, that YOU can control it. Most entrepreneurs don&#8217;t give their daily start much thought: they pour down thoughtless coffee, swallow down a donut on their way to the office. There&#8217;s simply no time for a healthy breakfast. I get that. But&#8230; it IS the defining start of every day&#8217;s levels of focus, productivity, mood, mental pre-occupation, stress. So why would you wanna skip what can make you feel energized all day, focused, clear, on top of your game, happy?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I don&#8217;t have time to eat in the morning.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I can&#8217;t eat when I just woke up.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I can&#8217;t without my coffee to wake up.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Those are about the most common shout outs I hear from professionals. But here&#8217;s the deal: you can easily make a charging, delicious breakfast in the time you make a can of coffee! Seriously! I just whipped up a most delicious smoothie in 2 minutes, made of strawberries (they&#8217;re back in season), banana, lime juice, mint and some water. I&#8217;m sipping my second glass right now from my favourite wine glass at my desk. That feels SO luxurious!</p>

<p>How ready are you for your busy week?</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">I&#8217;ve been there and I&#8217;m sure that you have been, too; that awful place where you &#8220;just ain&#8217;t feelin&#8217; it.&#8221; One day you&#8217;re still &#8220;fine&#8221;, the next you feel drained and don&#8217;t feel like doing anything, you don&#8217;t want to get out of bed, you find yourself questioning everything you do. With that, you can feel your mental energy crash against a wall of resistance. After all, you are an entre-preneur meaning literally: <strong>you undertake</strong> things, you are a <strong>do-er</strong>.  So it feels pretty inauthentic to find yourself at the other side of your purpose.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">So now what?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There was a time when I was convinced that it was &#8220;weak&#8221; to have a -or a few- bad days and I would fight it with my willpower and everything else I could come up with. Now, I know better; <strong>fighting</strong> this feeling works in the opposite direction.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Instead, the first thing I started doing was <strong>listening to my language </strong>to pick up the signals sooner. Whenever I started talking or thinking in terms of:</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I <strong>have</strong> to&#8230;&#8221;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I <strong>need</strong> to&#8230;&#8221;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I <strong>should</strong>&#8230;&#8221;  (can you hear it too?)</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8230; I noticed that it was not in alignment with my passion and enthusiastic drive, that it was time to refuel my lamp so I could shine bright again.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8230; I felt that I was pushing myself too much and ignoring signals, I was acting from a place of &#8220;shortness&#8221; instead of &#8220;abundance&#8221;.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8230; I started resenting my life&#8217;s work; the work I&#8217;m so passionate about.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I became aware that when I was speaking this &#8220;language of willpower&#8221; as I call it, all I was looking at were even &#8220;more things on my plate.&#8221; Are you with me?</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>It&#8217;s so easy to get stuck in all the &#8220;doing&#8221; when you stop &#8220;being.&#8221;</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">So actually, it&#8217;s simple. Start talking a supportive language. Tell yourself:</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I can&#8230;&#8221;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I love to&#8230;&#8221;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I want to&#8230;&#8221;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I choose to&#8230;&#8221;</li>
</ul>
<p>Whole different sound and feeling huh?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">And hey, sometimes I too forget to remind myself that I can talk this language. We&#8217;re cut of the same wood, you and me. But practicing helps. No one is perfect!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The other thing I learned is, that it works to give myself the permission to not feel at my best for a moment, to perceive it as a valuable signal that I need to <strong>disconnect to re-connect</strong>. BUT&#8230; that it is essential to take full responsibility and turn that feeling around asap.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>The less you &#8220;have to&#8221;, the more you &#8220;can do.&#8221; </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">How you can unite these two opposites, you may be wondering?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Allow yourself to take some time to&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>really &#8220;be&#8221; with yourself</strong>: make a &#8220;to-be&#8221; list instead of your next to-do list. What makes you feel connected within?</li>
<li><strong>do whatever you feel like doing (or not)</strong>: disconnect a few days from work and only do what you want to do, nothing else.</li>
<li><strong>inspire yourself</strong>: read, take long walks, get together with a friend, dream, envision, listen to some motivating and uplifting audio&#8217;s</li>
<li><strong>have fun with silly stuff</strong>: fiddle around in the kitchen to make a recipe you wanted to try since a long time, do something with your hands, plant something, sing</li>
</ul>
<p>When?</p>
<div style="text-align: justify;">Ideally, <strong>before</strong> you start &#8220;not feeling it.&#8221; Because these are very simple things you can plan into <strong>every day</strong>. And I get it; sometimes we forget, sometimes there&#8217;s not enough time (more about this in a following post).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">What matters is, <strong>that</strong> you do it. How? That&#8217;s up to you. It&#8217;s different for everyone. Start exploring and experimenting what works best for you.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;"></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">Here are a few things I did myself and that got me shining in a few days time:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;"></div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">First of all: I gave myself <strong>the permission</strong> to disconnect and take the time I needed to refuel</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">I talked to an old friend I hadn&#8217;t seen in a year about completely different things than I use to talk about over a lovely raw lunch at my place</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">I invited the kids and their loved ones over the weekend</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">We went disco bowling together for my sister&#8217;s birthday and had a lot of silly fun</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">We went on a challenging 4 hour hike in the woods, swirling streams and deep sticky mud (oh what fun to walk, climb, jump and get dirty!)</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">I made yummy stuff and we had a glorious picknick in the wind and rain under a small picknick roof</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Then I allowed myself to rest for 2 days and lounge, read, study, envision new perspectives and getting inspired all over again</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">In the meantime, I did a 3 day detox: that helped me to reset all my &#8220;energy buttons&#8221;</li>
</ul>
<p>This brings me to the following thought:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>How can we appreciate big things in our business and life when we forget to appreciate the small stuff&#8230; The more you can &#8220;be&#8221;, the more you can do and achieve. </strong>A happier you is a more productive expert.</p>

		<title>Because You’re So Ready To Level Up Your Energy &amp; Confidence</title>

<p style="text-align: justify;">That’s why I want pull back the curtain a little bit and share something more personal.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I was recently talking with Marisa, who worked on Wall Street for 11 years and now combines her work at a big company in New York with her own business, and she mentioned how stressful working is at companies of that size. So stressful that almost all of her female colleagues are on anti-depressants.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“To keep the edge off,” she explained to me when she saw the look on my face. Marisa asked me a question that made me think…</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Actually I smiled, hearing her question. Marisa and I are building a valuable partnership to address anxiety and insecurity as part of self-care. But she didn’t know yet that I have my strategies for generating energy, good mood and more self-esteem in a very natural way and in record time.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">More on that later…</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The universal problem that most professionals have as soon as they slow down is…</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">They don’t have <strong>the energy</strong> to really enjoy their quality time with their loved ones because… as soon as they push their “pause” button, they crash. <img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-6569" src="http://ravishingraw.com/wp-content/uploads/Writing-on-the-beach-300x200.jpg" alt="Businesswoman at beach" width="300" height="200" />That’s what happened to me too every year during my vacations before I completely crashed and burned in 2005.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I don’t know about you, but it’s pretty common that it takes a week or longer to get over some unexpected summer virus that has been waiting for your weak moment to have a blast. I remember so well that by the time I had to go back to work, “my time” was gone and I had to jump back into the rat race, still feeling exhausted and not ready to start working again (back then, I blamed my vacation for it…)</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">All this while the <strong>1</strong> thing that we should prioritize and dive into is taking time to ourselves daily for some loving self-care and to reflect upon what really matters in our lives, how we can do more of what we love doing and what exactly that would be. Once our own vitality is up to date, it’s so much easier to engage to our family and loved ones. <strong><a title="Your Time" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-BHGqVQMZ0" target="_blank">Time is the one thing we can never get back once it’s gone</a>…</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Energy is our most valuable resource to do just that, to create more time in our day for what and whom we love, to get everything out of our precious time and enjoying that priceless wealth.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We can gain energy –or lose it- from so many different aspects in our lives. Our food, the way we think, the way we feel, our relationships, our work… It’s our choice. Not always easy to make the right ones, is it?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Over the past 6 years I have mastered the art of “generating more quality energy.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Before you go into your next summer, I want to take you on a journey that will help you create that kind of energy, self-confidence and feel-good every day so you can spend more quality time with the people that matter most to you.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I’ve never done this before, and I’m experiencing sa wee bit of resistance in bringing this up now because I know that you are busy and I don’t want to be “another” distraction in your inbox. I want to make sure that what I put out into the world is valuable and actual helps entrepreneurs like you truly enjoy their work <strong>and</strong> time off.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I have some ideas on how I can give you energy –resulting in getting more time- in this next season so you can spend it doing what you love to do most, with whom you love the most. However, that’ll have to wait till next time&#8230;</p>

Is it: <strong>quantity</strong> or <strong>quality</strong>?</p>
<p>If it&#8217;s quality, stick with me a few minutes. Because&#8230; what if you would NOT gain those typical 3 to 7 pounds during the holidays?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It seems to be a human habit to make intentions for the next year. But before we start, we want to &#8220;enjoy&#8221; and we eat more and differently then usual because &#8220;next year, we&#8217;re gonna get serious!&#8221; Then&#8230; we feel awful seeing the numbers on the scale, frustrated, bad about ourselves.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">How can you do this differently so that you can start your new year with a projection instead of a setback?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Let me give you <strong>5 tips that will help you to stay mindful about yourself</strong> and that<strong> keep those pounds off</strong>.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #99cc00;">Keep your festive dinners stress-free</span></h5>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Stress can increase your appetite.</strong> It makes you release steroid hormones, of which Adrenaline and Cortisol you may know best. Adrenaline will give you instant energy (to fight or fly) and decrease your appetite. But not for long. Cortisol helps you replenish your body after the peek of stress passed by and can remain elevated, increasing your appetite (by the time you sit down at the table), driving you to eat more than you would normally do. But what&#8217;s more, stress does take away the feeling of pleasure and joy while you are preparing for a lovely day with your loved ones.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Therefor remind yourself of the meaning of a festive meal: sharing time, stories and laughter are more importantly than having a perfect dinner. No need for stress to celebrate.</p>
<h5 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #99cc00;">Increase your portion of vegetables, cut down -or leave out- the meat</span></h5>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-6536" src="http://ravishingraw.com/wp-content/uploads/IMG_0235Copy-300x225.jpg" alt="IMG_0235Copy" width="300" height="225" />I&#8217;m presuming now that you are not eating a (raw) plant-based diet yet. Especially when you are eating at someone else&#8217;s table it can be difficult to say &#8220;no.&#8221; In that case, <strong>ask for more vegetables</strong> -make it 3/4 of your plate- and minimize your portion of meat. If you can, leave it out. Meat takes <strong>days</strong> to process and leave the body. Meanwhile, it&#8217;s weighing you down: it&#8217;s so difficult to digest and what you can&#8217;t digest, sticks to your belly, hips, thighs and waist.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Mushrooms are a great substitute for meat. Simply marinate Portobello&#8217;s or mushrooms of your choice and enjoy their meaty texture.</p>
<h5 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #99cc00;">Decrease your alcohol intake</span></h5>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A difficult one, I know. When you are with people who love drinking, you will drink more too because it is a signal of being jointly. But alcohol slows down your digestion, is very acidifying (meaning: you can&#8217;t lose the weight you gain) and is a hidden calorie bomb that goes down sweetly.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Instead, you can drink juice (everyone loves my festive apple, lemon and ginger juice), <a title="Water kefir" href="http://ravishingraw.com/water-kefir-grains?category_id=" target="_blank">water- </a>or <a title="Coconut Kefir" href="http://ravishingraw.com/coconut-kefir?category_id=" target="_blank">coconut kefir</a> which has the bubbles and will give you a champagne or Cava experience. Or what about making my alcohol free &#8220;Nochito&#8221; of lime juice, mint, some agave and sparkling water for some bubbles? Just as tasty and it will give you energy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Or&#8230; make several bottles of infused water a day ahead with combinations of cucumber and mint, orange and Goji berries, lime and mint,&#8230; It&#8217;s beautiful and delicious for anyone.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Or&#8230; buy some bottles of Kombucha. You can find them everywhere in American stores these days, even on tap. They offer you a wonderful alternative for alcohol!</p>
<h5><span style="color: #99cc00;">Add raw side dishes and/or fermented foods that help you digest your cooked foods</span></h5>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In Korea, everyone knows that you need alive enzymes to digest your cooked foods as those don&#8217;t contain ANY enzymes anymore. Consider cooked foods as &#8220;dead.&#8221; They serve Kimchi with every meal: a fermented product of vegetables. Fermented foods are packed with alive enzymes and pro-biotics, the 2 major factors in your digestion. Remember: what you can&#8217;t digest will be stored!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you don&#8217;t have fermented foods (kimchi, <a title="Sauerkraut" href="http://ravishingraw.com/raw-sauerkraut?category_id=" target="_blank">sauerkraut,</a> pickled vegetables, coconut yogurt, raw cheese) or beverages (water/coconut kefir, Kombucha&#8230;), simply make raw dishes on the side of what you cooked up. Raw plant based foods still have all their specific enzymes intact. Adding those will help you digest the foods that lost theirs. It is not ideal, but great progress.</p>
<h5 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #99cc00;">Avoid sugars and gluten</span></h5>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-5965" src="http://ravishingraw.com/wp-content/uploads/IMG_4771Copy-300x225.jpg" alt="IMG_4771Copy" width="300" height="225" />Festive meals always end with an overload of sugar: sweet desserts. Who doesn&#8217;t love them? These sugar bombs are extremely addictive and act as a drug -cocaine to more specific-. Sugar brings the same rush in your brain as cocaine does and before you know, you want more. That&#8217;s why it is so difficult to stop eating desserts or sweet encores.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a title="Raw Desserts" href="http://ravishingraw.com/ravishing-recipes/desserts" target="_blank">Make something sugar free</a>: you can easily replace the corn syrup by a raw coconut sugar or date paste: no one will notice the difference.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Same for gluten: they make you feel tired and sluggish as soon as you consume them. Minimizing their intake will keep your energy up and your legs light for some dancing later on.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #99cc00;">EXTRA TIP</span></h4>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you are eating with your family and you can&#8217;t control your Christmas plate, you can eat a lovely green salad with sauerkraut or kimchi at home, shortly before leaving. This will:</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">sooth your biggest hunger so you don&#8217;t overeat at their table and stay more mindful when dinner is served</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">provide your stomach alive enzymes to digest what you add later, break down and remove excess fats from your body</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">deliver natural pro-biotics so you can optimize your colon for the heavy duty work that&#8217;s coming your way</li>
</ul>

<p>I thought it would be interesting for you if I would share the system I apply every time before traveling long distance. Out of experience I know how<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-6525" src="http://ravishingraw.com/wp-content/uploads/Travel_Card-300x225.jpg" alt="Travel_Card" width="300" height="225" /> challenging crossing time zones can be, especially when you have a big project on the other side of the ocean you want to be at your best for.</p>

<div align="justify">So here are my <strong>5 tactics</strong> to strengthen your warrior against intruders, starting at least <strong>2 weeks before traveling</strong> so you can decrease the risk of going down once you&#8217;ve landed (I&#8217;ve been there!).</div>

<div align="justify"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>1. Eat a well balanced, raw plant-based diet</strong></span></div>
<div align="justify"><strong> </strong></div>
<div align="justify">When you cook your foods, your body can&#8217;t recognize the altered molecular structure and makes your immune system fight your food. When you eat cooked foods every day, your immune system is exhausted once it has to fight real intruders such as the germs and viruses you picked up in the airplane. How to turn that around?</div>
<ul>
<li>Make sure to <strong>eat or at least increase </strong>your amount of fresh organic vegetables, fruits and sprouts to <strong>optimize your digestive system</strong>. Your immune system needs good digestion to stay strong.</li>
<li>Add more fermented foods: they deliver loads of <strong>alive enzymes</strong> that maximize your digestion and so, save your precious energy for yourself.</li>
</ul>
<div align="justify"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>2. Lower your stress levels by organizing and preparing in time</strong></span></div>

<div align="justify">With each long distance travel ahead and projects abroad, stress raises right away. There&#8217;s just SO much to do and but so much time&#8230; This is exactly why it&#8217;s good to:</div>
<ul>
<li>start looking <strong>a month ahead</strong> at the (big) things that come up, what needs to be done to relax while you are gone</li>
<li>map out every step</li>
<li>add them to your calendar so you can keep your stress levels to a minimum</li>
</ul>
<p>Don&#8217;t wait till the last minute so you can stay cool. <strong>Stress wears out your immune system!</strong></p>

<div align="justify"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>3. Improve your amount and quality of sleep</strong></span></div>

<div align="justify">That&#8217;s a tough one for me too: I love the late hours, the quiet. But every time I pay attention to applying these tactics, my sleep improves quickly.</div>
<ul>
<li>Start going to bed earlier, at least 2 weeks before take off. You do need <strong>7 to 8 hours of quality sleep</strong> to restore cell damage and load up your batteries</li>
<li>The most important hours in the restoring process are between 10pm and 2am</li>
<li>Make sure to sleep in a completely <strong>dark room</strong> and you will release the hormone melatonin that secures your sleep for the rest of the night</li>
</ul>

<div align="justify"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>4. Drink enough water</strong></span></div>
<div align="justify"></div>
<div align="justify">The most simple things are the ones we forget the soonest when we get busy. Drinking enough water is one of them. Yet, keeping your water levels up to the 70% your body is made of, is essential. Dehydration slows down all your body&#8217;s functions and systems, immune system included.</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>Drink half of your body weight per day</strong> (Europe: weight in kg. x 3 : 100= amount of Liters per day)</li>
</ul>

<div align="justify"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>5. Exercise 30 minutes a day: keep that lymph moving!</strong></span></div>
<div align="justify"></div>
<div align="justify"><strong>It only takes 30 minutes a day</strong> of your time to activate the 75% of liquids in your body that helps you fight intruders and removes toxins: your lymph fluid. By moving, walking, exercising, you are activating that flow as this system doesn&#8217;t have a motor. <strong>You</strong> become the motor by moving. Exercise increases the strength of your immune system.</div>

<div align="justify"><strong>Combining these 5 tactics</strong> will help you to feel at your best and energized while crossing time zones and enable you to get over the jetlag sooner, to override the stress that every travel causes to the body and mind.</div>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Have you been having more headaches than usual lately? Are you having sudden rashes, did eczema keep you out of your sound sleep? Have you been in overdrive, feeling as if you &#8220;couldn&#8217;t&#8221; stop? It&#8217;s not always stress related, you know. What&#8217;s in your fridge door may play a huge role in how you feel and look! I&#8217;m sharing my own experience in my video.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Did you know that the most common products in your refrigerator door are killers? You can take that literally!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">They are packed with&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">artificial tastemakers (MSG/E261 is the worst one and in every processed food you can think of)</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">harmful genetically modified soy</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">colours</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">bad fats</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">heavy metals to stabilise &#8220;natural&#8221; colours (in coloured yogurt)</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">sugars (8 to 10 coffee spoons in 1 glass of softdrink!)</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">or artificial sweeteners (in all &#8220;light&#8221; products)</li>
<li>synthetic additives to taste and look better</li>
<li>and I&#8217;m probably forgetting a few more</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In a nutshell&#8230; I want to <strong>go through the condiment department of your fridge</strong> and show you what the most<strong> taxing products</strong> are that may burden your body in such a way, that your success is suffering from that without you, realising. Simply by <strong>leaving out those taxing products </strong>you will start feeling -and maybe even seeing- the difference.</p>

Your legs feel like lead, your head full of wadden, you are getting nowhere with your to-do list and feeling overwhelmed, your emotions are highlighted? Yes? I have been there too. Whenever this happens to you, it&#8217;s telling you something: <strong>time to juice up your productivity! </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">What causes you to feel like that? The answer is simple: <strong>toxicity.</strong> The answer? Clear it all out!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Toxins enter your body from many sources and on different levels.</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Physically: through your food and beverages, air, daily body care, water, electronics, microwave,&#8230;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Mentally: through your thoughts, internal and external stress, clutter, overwhelm,&#8230;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Emotionally: relationships, community, friends and family, life itself, food stress, worries,&#8230;</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">They affect your energy in each of these areas. So let me give you a step for each level to rejuvenate and replenish your energy by <strong>eliminating what slows you down</strong>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">First it is essential to <strong>observe 3 patterns in your day</strong>:</p>
<ol>
<li style="text-align: justify;">What do I eat that I know of that it is <strong>not good for me</strong> but that I eat anyway?</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">What thoughts keep nagging around in my head and are attacking my confidence and growth?</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">What emotions are getting in my way to feel good and how do I support/feed them?</li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>1. Your food builds the foundation of your productivity</strong>: you can choose to nourish your precious brain cells or to destroy them with what you eat and drink. A reality check&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>Processed foods</strong></span>: observe how often you shove a frozen meal into the microwave or get take out food</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #99cc00;">Alcohol</span></strong>: what are your drinking habits? Alcohol is very acid-forming and dehydrating your brain cells</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>Animal products</strong></span>: very acid-forming and clogging up your colon and so, your concentration</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>Dairy products</strong></span>: build up mucus in your filters, stuffing up your functions</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>Gluten</strong></span>: the glue in your bread and grains is responsible for a heavy, sticky and stuck feeling</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #99cc00;">Non-organic ingredients and products</span></strong>: they deliver an overload of chemicals and pesticides</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">By removing and replacing these products step by step, you will eliminate huge amounts of toxins that slow you down. When you eat more clean foods, <a href="http://ravishingraw.com/wp-content/uploads/2015-08-03-03.10.21.jpg"><img class="alignright wp-image-6455 size-medium" src="http://ravishingraw.com/wp-content/uploads/2015-08-03-03.10.21-300x225.jpg" alt="Juice Up Your Producitvity!" width="300" height="225" /></a>you will create clarity. What&#8217;s in your colon is in your head: thousands of neurotransmitters that are responsible for clear thinking and good concentration are housed in your colon. Fiber makes everything move, also the toxins that thrive on sticky waste that&#8217;s stuck. Clear out the gunk for new energy, clarity, focus, lightness and good mood. You will have the feeling that you are in charge of your day again.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Add more<span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong> clean and pure foods</strong> </span>to your current diet if you are at the start, <strong><span style="color: #99cc00;">plan a green juice day once a week</span> </strong>on a fix day (a Sunday is perfect) to accelerate the process of releasing toxins on a regular basis. You become what you eat.</p>

What&#8217;s on your mind?</strong> Observe your thinking patterns for a week: <strong>do you tend to think as a victim or as a victor?</strong> If you have a brain that&#8217;s in pain from thinking in downwards spirals, undermining your confidence and capacities, you can turn it around by thinking the opposite. You become what you think. Good news: it only takes 21 days to change a habit! Uplifting thoughts make you feel better. <span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>Start each day with a great thought, a bright vision for a bright day. </strong><span style="color: #333333;">How you start your day defines your ability to keep up the high vibe. </span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Also observe the<strong> external stress factors</strong> that leak your energy. <strong>How is your work environment inspiring you?</strong> Bored? Change your view, pull up an outdoor office and enjoy working. <strong>Who are you surrounding yourself with?</strong> Are you looking <strong>up</strong> the ladder to feel inspired and motivated or do you tend to look down all the time, at those who didn&#8217;t &#8220;make&#8221; it?<strong> Only look up</strong>, to those who did what you want to achieve before you and got the results that you are longing for. Whom&#8217;s work do you admire? What would you be able to do with his/her capacities? How can you inspire your mind to be just as creative as they are? <span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>Let your mind become your most important motivator and cheerleader! </strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3.<strong> What weighs down your soul?</strong> We are so much more productive when we are happy! Things get done in half the time when your heart is singing. I know, we don&#8217;t always feel responsible for our heart sores. But when you <span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>do take full responsibility</strong></span> and <span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>change the things you don&#8217;t like in your life</strong></span>, your emotional life loses weight, too. There is always a choice, even when you think there isn&#8217;t. You can make your own choices and replace the toxins that sadden you by what enlightens you. A good feeling can be found in small things that don&#8217;t take much time at all. What makes you feel good when you do it? Make a to-be list and do more of what you love doing and that has an instant impact on your feel good hormones. Dancing to your favourite song or singing loud in the car only takes a few minutes but releases loads of endorphins into your blood stream! You become what you feel.</p>

I already tried weight watchers, restricting my food intake, exercising, trying raw food on my own &#8230; <strong>Nothing seemed to stick.</strong> As soon as I made progress <strong>I sabotaged myself</strong> and <strong>I gave up</strong> so I ended back where I started (or worse). <strong>Together with Marie-Claire I got passed my inner saboteur.</strong> Does that mean I eat 100% raw food? <p style="text-align: justify;"><em><span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>When you envision your ideal body, how would it make you FEEL to look like that? What are you willing to do to create your new normal?</strong></span></em></p>
<p>It is difficult for most people to imagine themselves eating healthy <strong>consistently</strong> for longer than half a year. And it’s very understandable: we are conditioned to think about our healthy food in terms of “diets”. Health in most people’s minds is equal to</p>
<ul>
<li>effort</li>
<li>straining</li>
<li>pressure</li>
<li>restriction</li>
<li>not enjoyable</li>
<li>for &#8220;freaks&#8221;</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meaning: health intentions are doomed to die a silent death after a short time of deprivation and growing frustration. That’s the reason why diets don’t work: they only ask for a <strong>short time vision</strong> such as: losing 5 or 10 or 20 pounds or fitting into your favourite little black dress for that special occasion. But health is much more than a short focus: it is a state of mind.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">How you can create that state of mind is what I am talking about in this episode.</p>
